THE TIME BREAKER
This is the first in my list of stories. The Time Breaker focused on the younger Greenwood brother, Jay, and his journey battling fate. No, sorry--Fate, with a capital F. His race against Time and war against Death start here. While just the first few chapters are written, the worlds have been mapped to carry me through over 50 stories of heroes and villains.
Think Harry Potter mixed with DC Comics, with a dash of Lord of the Rings and a happy helping of Percy Jackson. While I've taken influences from everywhere from Star Wars to Doctor Who, I'm going to defy storytelling stereotypes in the best way I can.
I hope these characters can show how much work I've put into making their personalities come to life. Enjoy!
Jay Greenwood
Meet Jay, 13--almost 14--years old and a bit of a hothead. With his connection to the Greek god of the sun Apollo, his archery skills are practically the only thing he was already "super" at. His healing and ability to travel through sunlight are just the tip of the iceberg... though in his case it's probably a fire-berg?
APOLLO
The logo I gave to Jay was a broad-head, though this one doesn't screw into the tip of an arrow. This is a symbol of the guiding light he becomes in Skyline City, home to other heroes such as Celestial, Vortex, Beacon, Atlas, Stream, and many more.
CELESTIAL
A.K.A. Daniel "Danny" Greenwood
Danny is Jay's older brother and basically his guardian... both literally and figuratively. When Danny dies after just the second chapter, Jay is left without a guide in this magical superhero world. But don't worry, it isn't the last you'll see of him...
Celestial's logo is tied not just to his powers and his relationship with the moon deity, but also speaks to the riddle associated with him later in the stories.
It is the C as well as the dot in the I of Imagicnary.
The Greenwoods live in a townhouse just outside Skyline City, a fictional city in the Pacific Northwest about an halfway between Seattle and Port Angeles. Somehow, I think the temperamental weather might have something to do with the multitude of ether-themed super-beings, but the views those atmospheric disturbances make? Incredible.
